Cheap tickets to fill the stands at SepangThe Sepang circuit has targeted a crowd of 120,000 for the eighth Malaysian Grand Prix in March.
At the race`s media launch in Kuala Lumpur this week, chairman Datuk Mokhzani Mahathir said ticket prices had been slashed to as little as about $15 (USD) for a three day pass.
"We are confident of coaxing 120,000 spectators to watch the race live," he told the Malay Mail newspaper.
Only 7,000 tickets have been sold so far, but Mahathir insisted that it is a 200 percent increase over last year.
Student tickets, meanwhile, have been dropped to just $7. "You don`t get an opportunity to see the best drivers in the world at such cheap prices," Mahathir said.
