Adapting to Bridgestone rubber
Ralf Schumacher and Jarno Trulli today carried on their week of testing at the Valencia circuit in Spain. The Toyota duo continued their individual tyre testing programmes, busy collecting important data for the further development and progress of the entire TF106 set-up.
Schumacher will return to action tomorrow for the final day of the week`s test alongside Toyota`s third driver Ricardo Zonta.

Ralf Schumacher
"Today we have been able to carry out a lot of tyre testing. We didn`t have any technical problems and we put in some long runs so it was a successful day. Valencia has always been a difficult circuit to test on, and it is no different this time. It`s also hard to make comparisons with the last time I tested here because we have a different engine and tyres. But we are keeping up our good work and in general we are happy with what we`ve seen today."

Jarno Trulli
"This has been a useful couple of days of testing. Today I continued the work I started yesterday on tyres and set-up and completed a lot of laps. Over the last couple of tests we have been trying to understand how to get the right temperature in the tyres. During winter testing, this is difficult because we do not have the best conditions, but we have been learning more and more about the car behaviour. When we introduce the new aero package we will get an idea of how competitive we are."

Dieter Gass, Chief Engineer Race and Test
"This was another productive day with a lot of tyre testing for us. Yesterday we were able to collect some good data about the wet tyres, but today we concentrated mainly on construction development. We had quite a trouble-free day technically, and that allowed us to run through our entire programme. We tried putting in some long runs and again we saw quite a good improvement. Now we will look for further progress tomorrow to round off the week."
