MF1 Racing on track at JerezMF1 racing kicked off its Jerez test today with Christijan Albers putting some mileage on the new M16 chassis and Tiago Monteiro running the EJ15B.
Albers was able to complete 75-laps in the new chassis, recording a best time of 1:21.55 as he ran through system checks and setup options.
"Today we were working on different set-ups, the guys are working very hard and it`s a good chance to test a variety of areas on the car including electronics," said Albers. "I was happy with today`s run and the new car is giving me confidence, which is great for the first day of testing."
Running the interim EJ15B, Tiago Monteiro put 71-laps on 2006 components, work on software development, some aerodynamic testing and some set-up development.
"Today was a good day, we completed a lot of laps and found out a number of interesting things that will all help us this season," Monteiro stated. "I`ve been driving the 2005 Chassis and will again tomorrow morning; much of the work we are doing is for development of the new car. There were no problems and I am very happy."
