Additional 3,800 places added for 2006
The Circuit de Catalunya is setting up a new grandstand - Grandstand P - with 3,800 additional places for the 2006 Spanish Grand Prix. This new grandstand will be located in the West Area, in the inner track section leading to the Seat Turn.
The price fixed for these places is the cheapest available, i.e. 185 euros for a three-day ticket during the pre-sale period ending on 16th March. With this grandstand, the Circuit will have a total of 15 grandstands.

There will also be a new special car park for this grandstand. It will be car park F, located in the South Area of the circuit. A special walkway is being built right now for spectators to comfortably access their seats.

The fact of having this new park area is due to the aim set by the Circuit officials to assure parity between tickets and parking spaces. In any case, and in order to avoid possible traffic problems, it is recommended to use public means of transport.

In order to get to the Circuit de Catalunya during the Grand Prix weekend, the Spanish national rail network company Renfe will provide additional trains and the bus company Sagalés will provide for a Barcelona-Circuit roundtrip line.

Remaining grandstand and general admission tickets sold out The remaining fourteen grandstands, i.e. more than 70,000 seats, and the new general admission areas planned for this year, are almost sold out, more than three months before the race, meaning a new record for a motor sport event, thus putting the Circuit de Catalunya in the lead compared to the other Spanish circuits.

For this 2006 season, the Circuit expanded its capacity by more than 8,000 and the success achieved has gone far beyond any forecast.
