Heidfeld and Villeneuve share the testing duties
Nick Heidfeld and Jacques Villeneuve continued testing at Circuit de Catalunya today. The two men drove the BMW Sauber F1.06, Heidfeld using chassis number 2 and Villeneuve chassis number 3.
Nick worked on the set-up for the race simulation which is planned for tomorrow, and in addition practiced starts. In total, the German driver completed 73 laps, his best in 1’16”374.
Jacques did the scheduled damper assessment and worked on the car set-up. Furthermore, he evaluated Michelin tyres. The 1997 World Champion covered a total of 87 laps, his fastest in 1’16”551.
Tomorrow Nick and Jacques will run a race simulation for the team.
