F3000 event canned due to noise
September`s running of the Italian Grand Prix has run into serious doubt.
Historic Monza, it is reported, has had to call off an upcoming F3000 race because a recent court order forbids the wail of loud engines at the track.

But a lawyer for Monza, Leandro Cantamessa, was quoted in Gazzetta dello Sport as vowing to fight the complaint of a few local residents.

"It is not a health issue, but (it is) an annoyance issue," he argued.
