Bending the rules of reality....Jean Todt has stepped up his argument that Ferrari should not be classed as a carmaker-team.
FIA President Max Mosley proposed recently that only private teams should receive an income from the sport - and Todt is clearly pedalling the line that Ferrari falls into that category.
In La Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper, the red team`s French principal claimed that Ferrari derive `80 per cent` of its budget from sponsorship, not manufacturer-parent Fiat.
“(And) six or eight per cent of the sales from Ferrari Auto is contributed to our Formula One effort,” he added.
