On 125cc day one in Jerez
Today saw the start of 125cc testing in Jerez, fresh off the back of last week`s MotoGP Official Test in Montmeló.
Fastest of the day was Lukas Pesek with a time of 1`47.038, ahead of Julian Simon and Mika Kallio.
In a sharp contrast to yesterday`s foul weather at the Circuit de Catalunya, the 125cc riders encountered perfect conditions at the Andalusian track. With clear sunny skies and a distinct lack of wind, they were able to ride fast times and start putting the finishing touches to their process of adaptation to their 2006 bikes.

The only rider to crash was Michele Pirro, who came off his bike twice. On the second occasion he dislocated his ankle and has been taken to hospital to undergo tests.
