Tamada expects better weather conditions
Just a few days after the conclusion of the first part of the IRTA Tests held in Barcelona, the Konica Minolta Honda Team, all participants of the MotoGP and minor categories have already reached another Spanish destination – Jerez de la Fontera – hosting the last Official Tests session before the beginning of the 2006 World Championship fixed for March 26 on this same circuit.
The Japanese rider Makoto Tamada expects better weather conditions assuring him and his staff to conclude the work on the new 2006 RC211V started in Barcelona last week end. The meteorological trend of the beginning of the week is encouraging; the 125cc and 250cc teams have had the possibility to work in a pleasant spring climate.

“The next three days are very important as they represent the last pre-championship test session before the first World Championship round. Weather permitting, we will solve the problems occurred in Barcelona last week end and carefully work in search of the best RC211V balance permitting to exploit completely the high potential of the new Michelin tyres. We will be then competitive and in the best conditions to face the first race in Jerez. I notice with pleasure that the Konica Minolta Honda Team is motivated and convinced to obtain good results. The team is a valid support for our rider Makoto Tamada especially when it will be necessary to speed up the operations of bike set-up definition in the four practice sessions to be carried out on Friday and Saturday before the race.”

“I love the Jerez circuit, it is the perfect place to conclude this series of great importance tests. This is the last occasion to define the RC211V set-up before the beginning of the 2006 season. We`ll be starting off with the basic settings we used for the Sepang private tests last February taking also into consideration our last week end work in Barcelona especially regarding the tests carried out on the new 2006 Michelin tyres. I feel good and motivated; I want to get in the best conditions to the first race of the season in Jerez.”
