Ahead of 2006 season
The final stages of the 2006 preseason saw the emergence of two talented Czech`s in the lower cylinder classes.

With Jakub Smrz impressing in the quarter litre category, his countryman Lukas Pesek showed great form in 125cc, particularly in Jerez where he was second fastest on the timesheets.

After his encouraging performance, the Derbi Racing rider is delighted with his new bike after a disappointing 2005. "Of course I`m happy, I`m much faster than last year and I`ve always been near the top in testing. I want to forget last year, although obviously that`s impossible, but now it`s a new season and we`re pushing to be at the front."
