Four riders for the new season
An evening of celebration for Campetella Racing that has officially presented all its great 2006 innovations to the public and to members of local and national press who have taken part to the dinner party held last night.

Without a doubt the most important news for the team is its debut in the 125cc class with 2 young riders, Andrea Iannone at his 2nd year in the World Championship and the rookie Simone Grotzkyj Giorgi who won the CIV last year.

The two youngsters are part of the junior team which is called Ticinohosting-Campetella Junior Team. And just this is the other important innovation: namely the entry of Ticinohosting group as Main Sponsor of the team; Ticinohosting is a Ticino-based brand that for over 20 years deals with Hardware, ISP (Internet Service Provider) and ASP (Application Service Provider).

The 250cc team that will simply be called Ticinohosting-Campetella Racing can count on the experienced Japanese rider Taro Sekiguchi, at his second season with the team, and young British rider Chaz Davies.

In the pre-dinner press conference Iannone and Grotzkyj Giorgi have declared that they are yet to get used to the new bike as it is completely different from the one they rode last year but have said to have utter trust in their mechanics which they have already found a good feeling with.

Taro Sekiguchi has confirmed his intention of winning the 2006 IRTA Cup and hence he is ready to fight all the others privateers, first of all his team-mate Chaz Davies who has declared of wanting to do a good season, gaining points at each race so that he too can aim to the Best Private Rider Title.

Carlo Campetella, team owner, addressed to all four riders his best wishes for a season full of positive moments, fulfilments and great results.
