To attend the first race of the season
A shining star of 125cc during the 90s, Noboru Ueda makes a return of sorts to MotoGP, attending the first race of 2006 in Jerez as a guest.

The popular Japanese explained what he is up to at the moment and take a trip down memory lane.

"I now work mainly as a TV commentator for the Japanese Supercross and Superbikes, and also in general GP promotion. I usually attend two or three races per year."

"I have been able to speak with Makoto Tamada and Shinya Nakano, but it`s difficult to predict how they`ll fare this season," said Ueda.

"MotoGP is a very strong category, and the preseason doesn`t necessarily reflect what will happen in the races. In any case, they seem very motivated to give their all."

The Japanese then spoke about the young talents from his homeland competing in 250cc. "Every category is hard, especially when you look at dominating figures like Jorge Lorenzo. But it will be competitive, a big spectacle."
