The goal is to be back in Mexico
The return to the World Rally Championship couldn`t have gone better for the team of Mauro and Luca Pregliasco: a third place obtained with driver and car together for the first time ever.
Toni Gardemeister has been able to find a great feeling with the Peugeot 307 WRC and the BF Goodrich tyres thanks to the work of the team that followed his first steps in rally racing and led him to his first ever win nine years ago.

The fast changing weather and the consequently unpredictable conditions of the tarmac make the Monte Carlo Rally one of the most difficult rallies of the season.

Having to decide in forehand what tyre to use for three stages in a row gives even more relevance to a third place that is the result of an exciting fight with Sebastien Loeb. The 2005 World Rally Champion became second only at the last stage of the rally where Astra`s decision to race the last loop with snow tyres was made to secure third place instead of a risky choice which could have jeopardized all the work done throughout the week-end.

The bronze represents the best result ever for the Peugeot 206/307 WRC at the Monte Carlo Rally and the team is honoured to have finished the race behind two great World Champions like Gronholm and Loeb.

Mauro Pregliasco, President says: "This great result shows Toni`s maturity as a driver and that he is among the top drivers today. We are now working hard to continue the programme starting from Mexico"

Luca Pregliasco, Team Manager says: "Toni has shown everybody that the mix made by the Peugeot 307 WRC, Astra and himself works perfectly well!"
