Oman World Rally Team Driver Hamed Al-Wahaibi voiced hope to do better in Cyprus rally when he and British co-driver David Senior power their Subaru Impreza WRX 2004 in the Cyprus show to flag off Friday.
Struggling to regain his stylish rallying form, Al-Wahaibi described the Cyprus event as immensely tough and rough... and tricky round. "We had a fair good reconnaissance, and we hopefully can drive things to our favor," he said.
Supported by a galaxy of local and international corporate houses including BankMuscat, Oman Mobile, Coca Cola (Quwat Jabal) and Oman Trading Establishment (OTE) – Subaru dealer in the Sultanate, Al-Wahaibi mentioned that he will try his utmost to finish the rally and hover around the point-scoring circle.
Earlier on Wednesday, Al-Wahaibi and co-driver David Senior wounded up the pre- rally final preparations for this tough-slow gravel show.
