My target now is to show some reliability
Just by a tenth of a sec Gigi wins stage # 6 of the Swedish Rally. That was the first scratch of his career a year ago in Sweden, and a lot has happened ever since.
On his first almost full season in WRC he managed to win six more stages, gained 14 points, which allowed him to finish in 11th position in the overall standings.
That result gave him lot of support from all over the world and convinced the Mitsubishi team to give him first driver status for 2006.
Then the shocking announcement from Mitsubish to withdraw from WRC and the hard job to fight again in order to continue to compete at high level.
Lots of contacts but at the moment only two events confirmed with the Lancer WRC, Monte Carlo and Sweden. Only two chances for Galli, with the first one ending due to a little mistake on fourth stage of the Monte, and a gearbox problem which didn`t allow him to restart on the Super Rally rule.

It did hurt him a lot but a week in Livigno together with his close friends gave him back his usual confidence. He`s ready to compete on the snow covered stages of Värmland. Gigi stays cool about his target.
“I can only promise that once again I will try my best to reward everyone who helped me to come back and compete in Sweden”
He`s never forgotten last years scratch at Torntorp and never will, but he will try not to think about it. “My target now is to show some reliability. Therefore I must not take any risks so I better forget that scratch. But if Pirelli tyres are as good as last year...”
Gigi doesn`t finish the line but his eyes speaks volumes...
