Hyundai Assan Motorsports`s driver and last year`s Turkish Rally Championship leader Serkan Yazici is ready for WRC – Rally of Turkey with a new car, the Hyundai Accent WRC 3.5 Evo. Serkan`s planning to go further this year after last year`s 9th position among fastest drivers ever.
Antalya – Kemer is gonna be so hot this week (June 2-5) with the competition of world`s fastest drivers. Beside that, also Turkish manufacturer teams are so ready for the race. Domestic drivers` goal will be to get a fine position for the race that Turkish spectators are impatient to see after a season again.
Last year`s Turkish Rally Championship leader Serkan Yazici is planning to be fast with a new car with Hyundai Assan Motorsports. Hyundai started the season in Turkey with 3 Accent WRC. But this time they needed to have a better car to challenge the fastest drivers they welcome to their own country.
In the race start with 85 cars, Serkan is planning to get an advantage with new Accent WRC EVO 3.5 that surprised most in Turkey. Last year he got 9th in Rally of Turkey WRC and this year he`s planning to be even faster. The new car has developments on suspention, differential and gearbox as well as a higher-tec engine than the Accents the team drives for now.
With the door number 17, Serkan is the first fire-starter among Turkish drivers on start list. Hyundai is still holding the second position in Turkish Rally Championship after Ford Rallysport Turkey. Rally of Turkey is an advantage for any Turkish drivers as its high contribution in points for domestic classificiation. Hyundai Assan`s other driver - Ali Deveci - is still second in the Turkish Championship before Rally of Turkey.
Rally of Turkey will be run over 1.200 km distance with 17 stages. All the accomodation facilities got full reservation in Kemer while there are two more days to go. Rally of Turkey`s ceremonial start will be held in Cumhuriyet Square. And the first special stage Phaselis 1 will start at 07.08 on Friday. The race will finish at 12.55 on Sunday the 5th of June.
