Finland : Vaakuna Rally - Finish
The second round of the Finnish Rally Championship – the Vaakuna Rally – saw the victory of Jari-Matti Latvala, who finished the race with a lead of more than a minute over his closest rival, Sebastian Lindholm.
Latvala won four of the eight stages on the programme after a tough battle against Jarmo Mikkonen. At the wheel of his Focus WRC 02, Mikkonen clinched three stage victories until losing his chance of taking the overall win when he crashed in the final timed event of the race.

Seven-time Finnish Champion Sebastian Lindholm made his return in the Finnish Championship after a sabbatical year. The Finn missed the opening round of the championship – the International Artic Lapland Rally – but made his come-back in Mikkeli last weekend at the wheel of a Peugeot 206 WRC 03. Sebastian clinched a stage victory (SS6) and finished in a very good second place in the overall results.

Jari Ketomaa finished in third place in his Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VIII, around 15 seconds ahead of Juho Hanninen in fourth position. Jussi Valimaki completes the top five, also driving a Mitsubishi Lancer.
