A new deal with Sky Sports
The Tesco 99 Octane MSA British Rally Championship will be broadcast on Sky Sports in 2006 with a new deal which sees increased coverage for the world`s premier national rally championship.
The coverage will see half-hour highlights programmes broadcast on the Monday following each of the six rounds from around the United Kingdom. Ten half hour programmes plus four hour-long shows will be broadcast over the course of the season, with both the championship opening BRC Live and an end of year round-up review also on the schedule.

Britain`s most exciting motor sport championship recently announced the backing of Britain`s biggest retailer, Tesco, and their `99 Octane` environmentally-friendlier performance fuel, and the confirmation of the television package ensures the championship reaches a wide audience.

MSA British Rally Championship manager, Mark Taylor welcomes the announcement: "This is fabulous news for the championship. We have Tesco on board and now we can confirm the television package is in place. From the entries we`ve seen so far it is shaping up to be a fantastic year and Sky Sports viewers will be rewarded with tremendous action from all around the UK."

Sue Ashworth of Sky Sports said: “The MSA British Rally Championship always makes for fascinating television, with some of motor sport`s brightest prospects tested to the limit by a number of challenging courses. We`re delighted to continue our coverage for another year and look forward to the first rally in May.”

The Kwik Fit Pirelli MSA British Rally Championship was broadcast to over 526 million homes in 2005. Coverage of the coming season starts on May 5th with the championship opening BRC Live event and will culminate at Wales Rally GB, Britain`s round of the World Rally Championship.
