As chairman of the stewards
Waltraud Wuensch from Germany has been appointed as chairman of the stewards for Rally Ireland 2006. Ms Wuensch is one of the four permanent stewards on the WRC.

Speaking about the appointment, Clerk of the Course Tom Nolan said: “We have always been looking to have as many WRC elements into our event as possible, and having Waltraud on board is another way of demonstrating to the FIA and WRC officials, the level that we feel our event has reached.”

Nicky Moffitt, Secretary of the ANICC and Noel Clarke of Motorsport Ireland will be the other Rally Ireland stewards.
