Finishing just shy of the top ten
Driving in the second Stobart VK M-Sport Ford Rally Team Ford RS Focus RS WRC 05 Luis Perez Companc suffered an off on the first day to return to the rally under SupeRally regulations for the final two days.
Companc drove a measured rally to score two manufacturer points, finishing just shy of the top ten with thirteenth overall, third in the M2 standings.

“After my off I tried to drive safe,” explained Luis Perez Companc. “I wanted to finish the rally I didn`t want to have any more problems. Thankfully there were no problems, the plan was to come home all in one piece so I`m happy. It`s very good getting the two points for the team, very good. I`m looking forward now to my next rally in Argentina as with each rally I`m getting a better feel for the car so I hope in Argentina I go better.”

“For Luis Perez Companc to come back to take manufacturer points was a great salvage. I`m really pleased he was able to add a couple of points,” concluded M-Sport team boss Malcolm Wilson.
