The official list of number two drivers
The FIA approved the list of number two drivers that will be nominated to score points in the Manufacturer 1 category for the next round of the World Rally Championship: Rally Catalunya.
The Spanish event, which will take place from 24-26 March 2006, is the fourth round of the championship.

The teams in the Manufacturer 1 class will count on the following number 2 drivers to score points in the Constructors` championship: Xavier Pons (Kronos), Mikko Hirvonen (Ford) and Stephane Sarrazin (Subaru).

In the Manufacturer 2 category, the OMV Peugeot Norway will not enter a second car, only Manfred Stohl will compete for the team in Spain. As for Stobart VK M-Sport, the team will count on Jari-Matti Latvala to score points together with number one driver Matthew Wilson. The Red Bull Skoda Team is back and will have Gilles Panizzi as their second driver.

N°11 Gilles Panizzi / Herve Panizzi Skoda Fabia WRC 05

Many privateers will also compete against the ‘big teams` in Catalunya. Francois Duval will be at the start, driving a Skoda Fabia WRC. Jan Kopecky will also drive a Fabia while Alexandre Bengue will enter the race in a Peugeot 307.

Chris Atkinson is not nominated to score manufacturer`s points for Subaru in this race but the Australian will nonetheless drive a Subaru Impreza WRC 05. After finishing in the points in Mexico, Gareth Mac Hale will try to achieve another good performance in Spain.

Toni Gardemeister is entered in the race but team Astra doesn`t have the Peugeot 307 which was supposed to be driven by the Finn. Unfortunately, it is likely that Gardemeister will withdraw from the event.
