Good shakedown result for the OMV driver
Vojtech is hoping for rain this weekend...

It may be the first WRC event for 28-year-old Stepan Vojtech but the OMV driver from the Czech Rpublic looks confident after today`s successful shakedown. His Peugeot 206 WRC is one of the oldest cars in the top field, therefore technically mature and, due to extensive preparations in perfect shape. Vojtech`s goal is to reach the finish of the rally with a constant yet fast performance.

Stepan Vojtech completed the 3,18 kilometres long course near Lake Bostal five times this morning. During the first two runs he used slicks but was forced to switch to rain tyres when a torrential downpour set in. In the beginning Vojtech encountered slight problems: “During our first turn the car started to spin once but after we adapted our notes everything was fine. The rain tyres gave me a good feeling and I achieved very good times.”

Goals for the rally
Even though it is his first WRC assignment at the OMV ADAC Rallye Vojetch still has his goals cut out: “Our main objective is to get the car across the finishing line. But I also want people to take note of me with a constant performance without faults. It would be great if the rain could be of help. I love driving on wet surface therefore I hope for a lot of rain and difficult conditions during the next three days. A very positive aspect at my main sponsor`s rally is that a lot of organisational questions were solved quickly by the organisers so that I can focus on driving fast.”
