Germany : Citroen Sport - ShakedownLike in the past, grey sky welcomed the competitors in Bostalsee service park for the shakedown. Around 10 o`clock, heavy showers fell on the service area and on the shakedown stage.
The 3,18 kilometres speed test, located in between Sötern and Bosen, was the same as last year with a chicane to slow down the cars.
Sébastien Loeb and Francois Duval started amongst the first cars and found dry and cold road conditions. Both Citroën drivers selected a medium tyre compound and noticed a lack of grip but a fantastic balance of the cars.
For their second group of runs, they started under the rain. Sébastien chose a intermediate set-up while François tried a `rain` set-up. After two passages, they were both very satisfied with their cars.
Kronos Racing private Xsaras
It started to rain just when both Kronos drivers left the service park to complete the shakedown stage, having chosen a set-up for dry conditions.
As a matter of fact, Manfred Stohl and Xevi Pons commenced on a cautious pace before to heading back to the service area to modify the settings accordingly. For their second run, they experienced no problem.
