Germany : Citroën - JWRC - ShakedownThe wet weather didn`t really improve since the World Rally Cars stopped their shakedown. The Juniors commenced to drive under heavy showers and strong winds.
However, these conditions really pleased Dani Sordo, Kris Meeke and engineer Alexis Avril who explained: “We had tested this set-up for the rain but to drive here with it at shakedown is really good to control we have done the correct job!”
Dani and Kris started on a cautious pace to discover the road conditions after the World Rally cars passage. Then they did a second run at normal speed before heading back to service park for some settings changes.
Dani completed a third run with a change on the front and rear brakes balance which he was happy with. Kris was also very satisfied with the C2 having tested a slightly different set-up as his team-mate.
Conrad Rautenbach drove his first kilometres behind the wheel of his brand new C2 Super 1600, built by PH Sport. The young Zimbabwe driver was extremely cautious before this event as his experience on tarmac could be summed up in a participation in Catalunya 2004 on a Saxo 1600 and in the Michelin Budapest rally last week to prepare the Deutschland.
