Magnificent stages and setting
Two of the worlds leading WRC Photographers have just completed a tour of the Rally Ireland route to develop a media guide of the event for attending media. The Italian duo toured all the special stages in Fermanagh, Sligo and Leitrim over two days.
“Rally Ireland is in a stunning part of the world. A great setting for a rally,” said Germano Gritti, founder of Race & Motion. Gritti, along with his partner Anna Canata were on their first visit to Ireland and were the first members of the press to view the route.
Gritti and Canata are top WRC photographers, and have been involved in the WRC and motorsport for a number of years. They were impressed with the stages from both a photographic and rallying perspective.
“I wouldn`t get in a car with Loeb on those stages,” joked Gritti in reference to the high speed nature of the route, but added, “stage 1 is beautiful and so many of the stages have great character. The rally is in a wonderful area, and I want to spend more time in the north-west of Ireland in the very near future.”
Gritti, who publishes the much sought after Race Emotions WRC photography book on an annual basis, is giving away 5 copies to Rally fans in Ireland. Simply click onto www.rallyireland.org and go to the competition section for your chance to win this unique book.
