Rally Japan : Teiskonen / PCWRC - Leg 1
Aki Teiskonen is fourth in the PCWRC category of Rally Japan after the first day.
Teiskonen`s speed was hindered by two punctured tyres. Teiskonen will start tomorrow one second behind third driver, Gabriel Pozzo. Fumio Nutahara and Toshi Arai, who lead the rally, are already one and half minutes ahead.
Arai, who is now second, is also second in the PCWRC championship. Nutahara`s lead is a slight surprise since his best position this season has been fifth.
“He took part in the local rally two weeks ago, where they drove the same roads in reverse. I don`t know if he remembers the roads, but he has driven very well,” comments Bob Hermans, the manager of Teiskonen`s team.
