Japan Rally 2005: Teiskonen / PCWRC - Leg 2
Aki Teiskonen is third in the PCWRC category of Rally Japan after the second day. The first stages of the day were exciting battle over third position between Teiskonen and Gabriel Pozzo.
On the fifth stage of the day Pozzo lost a wheel and Teiskonen got a breakaway from the group behind him. The fourth driver of the rally, Federico Villarga, is now three and half minutes behind Teiskonen and leader, Toshio Arai, is as much ahead.
“Now I need to drive carefully and avoid mistakes. Differences are that big between the first drivers,” Aki said.
The manager of Teiskonen`s team, Bob Hermans, was praising the effort of his driver: “He has been driving very steady. If he can keep his third position, we are very pleased with him. The Japanese drivers ahead of him know the roads they are very hard to beat here,” Hermans said.
