Rally Japan : Teiskonen / PCWRC - Finish
Aki Teiskonen finished third in the PCWRC category of Rally Japan. The third day of rally didn`t offer great drama since the differences between the top drivers were so big.
“Gaps got so big right in the beginning that we didn`t see any fierce duels. On top of that I had problems with my gears and I had to drive the final stages with one gear. It took off some time, but luckily didn`t affect my placing,” said Teiskonen.
Teiskonen agrees that the local dirt roads were quite difficult to drive. “In some places they were as hard as roads in Finland, but in other places they are much more slippery than they look like,” said the Subaru driver.
Teiskonen says he is quite happy with his third place even though the Japanese drivers Arai and Nutahara were practically out of reach before today.
“I left behind three tough drivers: Ligato, Pozzo and Villagra, who came to rally outside the PCWRC -series. I got be happy with that,” concluded Teiskonen.
