‘It`s far from easy – it might seem simple on the outside`
It was a case of total domination once again for Citroen and Sebastien Loeb again this weekend as the Frenchman clinched his tenth win of the season and ensured that his team took the constructors` crown for the third time. Naturally, Guy Frequelin was pretty pleased with Rally RACC Catalunya.

“I`m very satisfied with this result,” Frequelin stated in the post event press conference. “It`s the result of some very hard work from everyone in the team, all the team members. It starts with the drivers and co-drivers – Sebastien and Daniel, and at the start of the year, Francois and Stephane. Then they had an interruption so Carlos [Sainz] came back for two rallies. Thanks to him for doing that.”

“Then Francois and Sven came back better than ever. Their not finishing in Corsica is made up for here. It`s hugely difficult to win any championship, let alone a third one, so I`d like to thank the team. It`s far from easy – it might seem simple on the outside – but after Mexico there were doubts, so we had to fight hard. I`d also like to thank Michelin who brought out the new tyre which helped so much too.”

With one round of the championship remaining, Loeb himself is playing down his dominant performance this weekend and states that he is happy with ten wins and number 11 may not be a simple formality.

“For the moment I`m really happy to have ten,” said the Champion. “But the most important thing here is that we won the manufacturers` title for the third time for Citroen. That`s really nice. I think it was a perfect weekend for Citroen – two cars in top two places and the Junior championship for Dani [Sordo]. That`s a perfect weekend.”
