Australia : Barratt / PCWRC
Natalie Barratt (Subaru Impreza SpecC) has reasons to be content with the second day of the Telstra Rally Australia.
After her early retirement on Friday the OMV World Rally Team driver achieved several top ten special stage times in the Production World Rally Championship on Saturday – even though this didn`t help too much in the overall ranking. Her accident on the first day has cost her too much time.

Important for self-confidence
When everything goes normal, Natalie Barratt is a driver who can well score PCWRC points. Too bad that things always seem to go wrong.

In Australia a big rock on the racing line destroyed her dreams of scoring WRC-points right on the first special stage. But the OMV driver didn`t look for excuses and took up the race on Saturday once again. And proved her skills by scoring several top ten times in the PCWRC on the second leg.

Barratt: “As long as there is the opportunity of the SupeRally regulation I`ll take it. It is very important for my self-confidence to go on racing. And the times were rather satisfying today.“

The only drawback were problems with the gearbox on the last special stage (super stage). Barratt: “We only had third gear left – and that`s definitely not easy driving then.“ But the Stohl-Racing crew once again did a perfect job in the service so that Natalie Barratt will be able to compete again on Sunday and finish the season`s finale in Down Under.
