With Astra Racing
Toni Gardemeister`s career began with Astra at the Motor Show of Bologna in 1996 driving the glorious Delta Group A that has been the first car to give the Finnish driver his first overall win at the Rally of Tronto in 1997.
After the Astra/Seat Sport programme in the World Rally Championship with the Ibiza Kitcar Evo II and the victory in F2 category at the Montecarlo Rally in 1999, Toni Gardemeister returns to Astra to drive a Peugeot 307 WRC in the upcoming Monte Carlo Rally that represents at the same time the return of Astra at the highest level of the World Rally Championship after the Lancia Delta Gr A years.

With a latest specs Peugeot 307 WRC and the Michelin tyres the objective is to win, just as it happened with Tommi Makinen at the 1000 Lakes Rally in 1994 with the Escort Group A "made by" Pregliasco.
