Roman Kresta made his Rally debut in a Skoda Favorit in 1994.
In 2000 Kresta became Czech Rally Champion with an Skoda OCtavia WRC. In 2001 Roman had 2 WRC events, at Sanremo and Great Britain.
Until 2004 Roman Kresta competed in few events every year, but in 2005 he became oficial driver for Ford Rally Team.
